Ambassador Cason and the National Cancer Coalition (NCC) donate medicine to Hospital de Clinicas

For patients with Gaucher disease

This Monday, May 21, Ambassador James C. Cason attended the National Cancer Coalition’s (NCC) donation event for the

Hospital de Clínicas in Asuncion.  The donation consisted of 732 bottles of Cerezyme, a medicine used specifically in the treatment of patients, children and adults, with Gaucher disease, valued in 1.156.560 American dollars.

The event, which took place at Hospital de Clínicas, was attended by NCC representatives, authorities of the School of Medicine of the National University of Asuncion and the Direction of National Welfare (DIBEN).

This is a program that started three years ago between the NCC Foundation, the Pediatric, Clinical Medicine and Oncohematology Departments of the Hospital de Clínicas, and DIBEN, currently benefiting 10 patients.
