Ambassador Cason donates medicine at San José de los Arroyos

November 30 2007

On Saturday, December 1st, the Ambassador of the United States of America, James C. Cason visited the city of San Jose de los Arroyos to participate in an anti parasitic vaccination and prevention campaign coordinated by the Municipality.

Ambassador Cason will donate anti parasitic medicine (Mebendazole) for the city’s entire population.

The medicine is part of a donation program of an American foundation called National Cancer Coalition (NCC) in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America.

Paraguayan doctors will administrate anti parasitic medicine especially to children and youths and this will protect from infections for two years.

This initiative constitutes one of the most diverse donations that have been given in the area of public health as a result of strategic alliances between the private sector and US foundations.

NCC has donated medicine worth 10 million of dollars so far with close collaboration of the US Embassy.
