Travelers are advised to refer to the International Travel Information and the Emergencies and Crises Page on the State Department’s Web site prior to going abroad. This site provides the latest travel warnings and public announcements relating to the countries you plan to visit.
Travelers are also strongly encouraged to register their travel abroad, which you may do by clicking on the link on the right-hand side of this and every other page in the Consular portion of this Web site. Registration is optional and confidential, and will only be used by Government personnel to assist you in an emergency.
