Starting October 1, 2006, all non-immigrant visa applications must be completed using the electronic form

Starting October 1, 2006, the United States Embassy will no longer accept handwritten non-immigrant visa application forms.   All non-immigrant (e.g. tourist and business) visa applications must be completed using the new electronic form available from the U.S. State Department website located at http://evisaforms.state.gov .  Copies of the electronic form are available in eight languages however the Embassy in Asuncion will only accept applications in either Spanish or English.

Using the electronic forms will help to eliminate data entry errors that could prevent visitors from Paraguay and other countries from entering the United States.  The new electronic forms will also allow the United States Embassy to process visa application faster reducing the time visa applicants need to wait at the embassy.

The new electronic forms can be printed from any computer with internet access.

To learn more about the new electronic forms or to learn about how to obtain a visa to the United States, visit the State Department’s website at http://travel.state.gov/.  Please also feel free to contact the embassy via email at ParaguayConsular@state.gov or hear a recorded message about consular services by calling 213-715 and then dialing extension 2001 for information in English or extension 2002 for information in Spanish.
