President Lugo will meet with President Bush

President Bush will welcome President Fernando Lugo of Paraguay to the White House on October 27, 2008. This visit provides an opportunity to reaffirm our strong relationship with Paraguay. The two leaders will discuss a range of issues, including deepening our bilateral efforts to advance economic development and social justice, assisting Paraguay in fighting corruption and expanding its formal economy, and addressing the security challenges posed by transnational criminal activity.
