U.S. Embassy Donates Gifts to Needy Children

Yesterday, U.S. embassy officials delivered 92 Christmas gifts to children of La Divina Provedencia Hogar de Ninos as part of the United States Marine Corps Toys-for-Tots Program.  This year, over 70 American sponsors participated in the annual program that benefited infants to 17-year old children. 

The Toys for Tots Program is a worldwide program organized by the U.S. Marine Corps and supported by Embassy employees in the over 200 US diplomatic and consular missions around the world.  The goal of the program is provide toys, school supplies, and hygienic products to children in need.  More importantly, the Toys for Tots program puts smiles on faces and provides a little holiday joy to these deserving youngsters.
